Paccar National Ad's File Importer

Upload Process:

IMPORTANT: Please follow the process listed below IN ORDER to ensure the correct outcome. Also note that values should be entered as you see them in the sample table. For example, the price should just be the digits and no dollar sign. That formatting has been handled in the code.

1. Upload any new media assets under the 'Media' tab. Make sure the name of the image in the Umbraco Media library is identical to the value in your Excel file but ignore the file extension (i.e. jpg, png, etc...).
2. Review Excel file: Confirm all the data is correctly structured and no required fields are empty prior to upload. Also confirm there are no blank spaces after your header name as this will cause an error.
3. Create the new campaign:
1. Hover over the NADS content type
2. Click the three dots
3. Create a National Ads item under NADS by clicking on 'National Ads'
4. Assign Campaign Name & Initialize cultures:
1. Enter the campaign name from your Excel doc in the input in the upper middle of your screen.
2. Click on the culture to view the dropdown. Click on the next culture and enter the same campaign name.
3. Repeat this process until all cultures have been selected and given the campaign name.
4. Save or Save and publish. You should now see the new campaign nested under the NADS content type.
5. Select the Excel document you want to use by clicking the 'Select File' button.
6. Click the 'Upload and Process' button to import and process the campaign data.
7. Once processed, you should see an alert saying "File processed successfully".
8. Close the alert window and click on the campaign to see the imported data.

Troubleshooting:

• If you receive an alert saying "There was a problem processing the file", review your Excel file and ensure all of the data is correct.
• If you receive an alert with a custom error message, please note the content of the error message and update your data to resolve the conflict.
